Welcome to Blooming Lovely Chaos. It’s a journal of one garden, a lot of ideas, and an AI assistant that is going to have rather a lot to say about all of it.

This site documents my journey of designing, planting and developing the garden, from the first ideas and planting schemes to getting plants into the ground and watching everything evolve through the seasons.

I’ll be leaning heavily on ChatGPT along the way — for inspiration, design ideas, planting combinations, plant suggestions, problem-solving and, occasionally, a reality check when I’ve come up with something that sounds brilliant but might not actually work.

The garden will be a collaboration of sorts: my space, my preferences and decisions, with ChatGPT helping me explore what might be possible. I’ll document the ideas it comes up with, the choices I make, what actually gets planted, and—most importantly—how it all turns out.

There’ll be monthly updates, photographs, planting plans, favourite plants, experiments, successes, failures and plenty of opportunities to change my mind. Some things will go exactly to plan. Others almost certainly won’t.

This isn’t about creating a perfect garden or pretending to have all the answers. It’s about capturing the process of turning ideas into a living, evolving garden—and seeing what happens when a human gardener and an AI start plotting together.
